  宏音齋(北京宏音齋民族文化發展中心)創辦于清朝末期,創始人吳啟瑞迫于生計開始從事樂器制作技術。1920年,吳文明在父親吳啟瑞的扶持下,在房山良鄉北大街創辦了樂器制作小作坊“宏音坊”;1927年,為求發展,吳文明來到京城內,在宣武門東市場創辦了“宏音齋”樂器鋪;新中國成立以后,吳文明被中國廣播樂團請去,成為“國家樂團的演奏員”和“樂器改革制作維修師”。吳文明之子吳仲孚,全面主持了“宏音齋”的工作之后將“宏音齋”樂器的制作,慢慢偏向了管樂制作,走上了新的發展之路。第四代傳人吳景馨是吳仲孚的女兒。她告訴記者,宏音齋在成立之初所有民族樂器都做,但是到父親這一代,漸漸地就只做笙管樂器,但也逐漸從單純的制作樂器,轉向了對民族樂器的挖掘和改良。吳氏第四代傳承人吳彤手持宏音齋吳氏管樂器,走遍世界舞臺,并獲“格萊美”國際音樂大獎。

  伴隨著中國民族音樂的發展,宏音齋吳氏幾代人,幾十年如一日與中國演奏大師們共同合作,為嗩吶標準化、系列化、現代化的發展,奠定了技術基礎,開創了宏音齋對加鍵嗩吶高、中、低音全面研發的里程。使中國民族管樂器從解放初只有高音樂器,沒有中低音樂器,發展到現在高音、中音、次中音、低音、倍低音,現代化、系列化的民族交響編制,裝備著中國現代化的民族樂團,為中國民族音樂事業的發展做出了突出貢獻。
